Holiday, something that everyone always thinks easy about, except if you are bound to a wheelchair, mobility scooter or walker. That is why the Amsterdam department organizes a carefree sunflower holiday every year. Together with our volunteers who are committed to participants with a physical disability. We also want to organize this in April 2026, but we have limited funding.
You can contribute by offering a lunch (e.g. sandwich with filling, drink and fruit), providing it or handing it out as a packed lunch. You will hear the stories of the participants first-hand and see their happy and grateful faces. They can then also tell you their story. Your attention is worth gold to these participants, who often have a hard time with their physical disability.
You can also donate money for the short vacation and welcome them at the return to hear their stories.

Going to museums, Artis, the beach, a nice concert in the Concertgebouw or Paradiso or just having a cup of coffee at home; it's all possible.
