Become a buddy for a special Amsterdammer

What are you going to do?

You become a coach of a local resident with a mild intellectual disability. On the outside you often do not see that they have a disability. Our participants live independently in Noord and have few social contacts or fun things to do in their (free) time. And they want to change that! Conviviality and working towards a goal are central to the contact. For example, you can help someone make contact with new people, find a fun activity in the area and discover where someone's interests and talents lie. You go on an adventure together in the neighborhood and can make a world of difference in someone's life! At Prisma we focus on possibilities & talents. you can get started in all city districts of Amsterdam.

Who are we looking for?

• You are patient and give someone the space to try & learn for themselves
• You have a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• You take initiative easily and are enterprising
• You look at someone's possibilities
• You are available on average 2.5 hours per week for a period of 6 to 9 months

What do we offer you?
