The Beelease Foundation is an institute for breeding bee varieties using a completely new method. Beelease rents a building and part of the land as a subtenant from an umbrella organization. The main tenant has a current contract until 2023 with the Municipality of Amsterdam. The Municipality rents out buildings and grounds "Om NIet". As a subtenant, we pay a fixed amount for rent every month, so-called market conform, to the main tenant. The contract contains conditions attached to the rent. It is stated elsewhere that the subtenant is responsible for damage caused to the site. Furthermore, we pay for any additional costs, such as minor repairs to the building and a new CV. All additional costs, including rental costs that are no longer recoverable from third parties on the site, will be shared jointly and severally. Management and business liability is a point of attention in the short term.
