We seek a proactive and detail-oriented volunteer to help finalize, launch and grow our digital insights hub on safety and equity in movement and public space.

Detailed description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented volunteer to help finalize, launch and grow our insights hub. This is Run Her Way’s digital platform for sharing resources, case studies, toolkits, campaigns, and research focused on safety and equity in movement and public space.


The structure of the Hub is already built, and now we’re looking for support to curate and upload additional content, and help keep it fresh, relevant, and engaging on an ongoing basis. You’ll also play a role in surfacing knowledge and examples of what’s working around the world to make outdoor movement safer for women and girls.


This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organizing information, researching meaningful content, and wants to support a global impact project in a flexible way.


What you'll do:

  • Add new entries to the Hub through your own research and using existing content lists and leads from the Run Her Way team
  • Curate and upload high-quality content on an ongoing basis, including:
  • Research and data
  • Toolkits, guidance, and other resource
  • Campaigns
  • Case studies from organizations or local initiatives
  • Stories and interviews
  • Work with the comms team to implement a launch plan
  • Suggest future topics, contributors, or useful improvements
  • Share highlights or new content with our comms team for social media and newsletters


What We’re Looking For

First and foremost, we’re looking for someone who’s committed, reliable, and genuinely interested in contributing to our mission. You don’t need to be an expert - just curious, open to learning, and willing to take initiative. If you bring additional experience in relevant areas like content management, research, or digital communications, that’s a bonus but not a requirement. We’d love someone who:

  • Is organized and detail-oriented
  • Can write clearly and thoughtfully
  • Is comfortable learning new tools (we use Squarespace)
  • Works well independently, but communicates proactively
  • Cares about gender equity, safer cities, and inclusive sport and movement
