Do you enjoy helping others? But do it fit your schedule? Become a volunteer at Markant. We're looking for people between 25 and 35 from Amsterdam, Diemen, or Duivendrecht. No hero, just you, with your talent and availability.

At people's homes

As a volunteer at Markant, you'll visit people in their homes and do important work. You'll change the life of someone who cares intensively for someone else, and the life of the person receiving the care. It's a win-win-win situation. You'll be there whenever you agree on a time. Enjoy a cup of coffee, play games, help someone get back on track, or take a walk outside together. Whatever you enjoy.

Jazzmine

Just like Jazzmine. She was temporarily available and looking for flexible volunteer work for a short period. "I had switched programs and had some time on my hands. I saw a post about volunteering on Instagram, and that's how I found Markant. When my new program starts soon, I'm going to do it with my girlfriend. That saves me time. And I can still help someone."

Determine your own time

Life is busy enough as it is. That's why you decide how much time you dedicate. Even two hours a week can make a difference. Prefer a whole afternoon once a month? That's fine too. You can also form a group with your friends or colleagues. Very flexible. And after your job, you can simply stop. No strings attached. Or you can just stick around. That's fine too. That small gesture of yours makes a world of difference.

Jazzmine experienced this too. She was quickly deployed to work with a boy with a disability. "I loved working with the boy. He couldn't speak well, but he had such a good sense of humor. And when I was there, his parents could spend some time with their other children."
